The Guitars of Hermann Hauser III
| 1998 Hermann Hauser "Segovia" model | |
| 1990 Hermann Hauser "Segovia" model. The lower transverse bar has a 0.016" gap as part of its design. |
|
| Here is an interesting feature. There are three metal pins in the saddle slot. I do not know if they go all the way through. This is a feature of Hauser II guitars. I haven't found any in the Hauser Sr. guitars. | |
| Here you can see the typical 3mm wooden locating pin between the saddle and the tie block. | |
| Look carefully in the nut slot and you will see the glue line for the upper part of the "V" joint. | |
| The tip of the "V" joint male end has the typical splice. See if you can find the glue line. | |
| Interesting top binding joinery | |
| The head joint usually meets in the middle of the nut slot. Notice how the head sits about 2-3mm above the neck instead of flush. | |
