The Guitars of Hermann Hauser III

This page is dedicated to the instruments of Hermann Hauser III

1998 Hermann Hauser "Segovia" model

1990 Hermann Hauser "Segovia" model.

The lower transverse bar has a 0.016" gap as part of its design.

Here is an interesting feature. There are three metal pins in the saddle slot. I do not know if they go all the way through. This is a feature of Hauser II guitars. I haven't found any in the Hauser Sr. guitars.

Here you can see the typical 3mm wooden locating pin between the saddle and the tie block.

Look carefully in the nut slot and you will see the glue line for the upper part of the "V" joint.

The tip of the "V" joint male end has the typical splice. See if you can find the glue line.

Interesting top binding joinery

The head joint usually meets in the middle of the nut slot. Notice how the head sits about 2-3mm above the neck instead of flush.
